Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Man with Van Bromley is committed to conducting all aspects of its operations in an ethical and responsible manner. We recognise our responsibility to help prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in all their forms within our own business and throughout our supply chains. This statement outlines the steps we take to identify, prevent, and address the risk of modern slavery in connection with our services.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and child labour. This approach applies to every part of our activities, including the sourcing of vehicles, fuel, equipment, storage facilities, and any subcontracted services. We will not knowingly engage with any supplier, contractor, or business partner that is involved in or connected with modern slavery or any associated abuse of human rights.
All individuals working for or on behalf of Man with Van Bromley, whether as employees, agency staff, or subcontractors, are expected to uphold this principle. Any breach of our zero-tolerance policy is treated as a serious matter and may lead to termination of contracts or working relationships, and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.
Our Supply Chain and Due Diligence
Our supply chain includes vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment suppliers, storage providers, and occasional subcontracted transport or removal services. We assess these relationships to understand and mitigate potential risks of modern slavery. We seek to work with suppliers that demonstrate a clear commitment to ethical labour practices and compliance with applicable employment and human rights laws.
As part of our due diligence, we review the nature and location of each supplier’s operations, the type of services or goods provided, and the degree of reliance on low-wage or migrant labour. Where we identify higher risk, we implement enhanced review and monitoring processes.
Supplier Standards and Audits
We expect our suppliers and business partners to adopt standards that are consistent with our zero-tolerance policy. This includes prohibiting forced, bonded, or involuntary labour; ensuring that workers are employed voluntarily; and maintaining fair and lawful working hours, wages, and conditions.
We reserve the right to conduct supplier audits and reviews, either directly or via independent third parties, to verify compliance with these expectations. These audits may include reviewing policies and procedures, requesting documentation on working conditions, and, where appropriate, engaging with relevant personnel. If a supplier is found to be in breach of our standards, we will require corrective action within a reasonable timeframe. Failure to implement adequate remediation may result in suspension or termination of the business relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels
We aim to raise awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and key contractors through guidance and ongoing communication. Relevant personnel are informed about the signs of exploitation, how to respond to concerns, and the importance of acting promptly and responsibly.
We encourage all workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our operations or supply chain. Reports can be made confidentially through established internal reporting channels. No individual who raises a concern in good faith will face retaliation, and all reports will be taken seriously and investigated where appropriate.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Man with Van Bromley is committed to continual improvement in our approach to identifying and reducing the risk of modern slavery. We will review this statement and our underlying procedures at least once every twelve months, or more frequently if required by changes in legislation, industry practice, or the nature of our operations.
The annual review will consider the effectiveness of our due diligence processes, the outcomes of any supplier audits, any incidents or concerns reported, and emerging best practice in tackling modern slavery. Where necessary, we will update our policies, staff guidance, and supplier requirements to strengthen our safeguards.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Bromley and reflects our ongoing commitment to conducting business in a way that respects and protects the rights and dignity of all workers.
